Jeff Bezos and Elon Musk, the number one and number two in the rankings of the world's richest men, closed the last 24 hours on the wrong footwith considerable financial losses, according to the Bloomberg Billionaires Index.
Amazon's founder lost 2.16 billion euros in the last day, and now has a net worth of 154.56 billion euros. The CEO of Tesla and Space X, known for his risky investments and the constant oscillation of his wealth and the revenue of his companies, suffered a fall of 5.83 billion euros in his net worth, which fell to 135.33 billion euros.
In February, Bezos regained the title of the world's richest person after overtaking Musk, according to real-time data from Forbes.
The 49-year-old businessman had also overtaken Bezos in January, making him the richest man in the world, due to Tesla's rising share price and his generous pay package.
However, not long ago, Musk returned this very title to Bezos. Until last month, Bezos was the richest man since 2017. The Amazon founder's personal wealth, which is mostly due to the company's stock, has skyrocketed in recent years. Last August, the millionaire saw his net worth reach almost 200 billion euros.
The Bloomberg Billionaires Index is a daily ranking of the world's richest people. The numbers are updated every day by the New York stock market tables.
