The general commander of the Police of the Republic of Mozambique (PRM), Bernardino Rafael, reaffirmed the corporation's commitment to ensuring security and tranquility during the general elections that will take place throughout the country on October 9.
Quoted by AIM, Rafael said that the police are prepared at all levels for the vote to take place smoothly.
He said that the corporation was satisfied with the course of the electoral campaign, despite the fact that 44 electoral offenses were recorded throughout the country in the last 30 days, culminating in the arrest of 30 citizens.
"The incidents arising from the election campaign have been controlled. We want to thank all those involved in this process who have made our work easier, despite the emotions that people always tend to bring," he said.
Bernardino Rafael was speaking this Monday (23) at the Police Sergeants' School in ISAPOL, in the district of Nhamatanda, in the central province of Sofala, at the VI Patenting Ceremony for members of the PRM.
