Chelsea FC owner bought soccer club in Turkey. True or not?

Dono do Chelsea FC comprou clube de futebol da Turquia. Verdade ou não?

Russian tycoon Roman Abramovich reportedly moved last week to buy the Turkish first division soccer club, Goztepe, as he is a refugee in Turkey, where he intends to set up his new home in the city of Izmir.

The information was spread by national and international media that quoted Turkish organs.

These sources said that Chelsea FC owner Roman Abramovich and Goztepe's current owner Mehmet Sepil were eager to close negotiations "as soon as possible.

"Negotiations are already underway and the purchase should be made official even before the end of the season," wrote the Portuguese portal "A Bola". This source even said that the President of Turkey, Recep Tayyip Erdogan, who has given shelter to the Russian magnate, has given the go-ahead for the deal.

So far nothing has been officially confirmed. The Portuguese portal "O Jogo" advanced, more recently that the vice president of the Turkish club, denies the occurrence of any kind of negotiations for the sale of Goztepe.

Talat Papatya reportedly said there was "no contact with Roman Abramovich. It's all lies. We read in the media that Abramovich takes over the club. It doesn't matter. We will make the necessary clarifications when the conversations about this topic reach a certain maturity. But of course we understand that if Goztepe relates to Abramovich's name, it means that we have a very important club," he said.
