The Minister of Health, Ussene Isse, challenges the leadership of the Multi-institutional Commission for the Supervision of Human Health Research to find solutions to the various challenges facing the country in the area of human health research.
The Minister of Health was speaking yesterday (9) in Maputo, during the swearing in of new Mozambican staff who are part of the recently created Multi Institutional Commission for the Supervision of Human Health Research.
The inauguration of the body's members marks an important step forward and responds to the country's challenges in the area of human health research.
According to Ussene, human health research is an essential pillar for defining health policies, decision-making and planning.
He believes that there is an urgent need to define mechanisms to ensure that the collection of evidence follows the best standards of quality and ethical principles in human health.
He assures us that, with the creation of this commission, the country has fulfilled its duty to guarantee better quality in the results of scientific evidence.
"This ensures the safety of all participants in scientific studies. In this way, the Ministry of Health is taking an important step towards contributing to the advancement of scientific knowledge to tackle the main public health challenges in the country, the region and the world," said Ussene Isse.
It believes that this is an opportunity to identify scientifically proven formulas for promoting the sustainability of health systems.
The Multi-institutional Commission for the Supervision of Human Health Research is made up of experts from academic health institutions, civil society and non-governmental organizations.
It was created to finalize human health research activities throughout the country, ensuring compliance with the principles and standards for conducting research.
