Cornelder promove Légua da Beira com prémios acima de 1 milhão de Meticais

Cornelder de Moçambique, SA (CdM), promotes on July 16th, in Beira City, the 4th edition of "Légua da Beira", a popular open competition, which contemplates a 7.2 kilometers long course.

After a two-year hiatus due to the restrictions imposed by the Covid-19 pandemic, this event returns with all pomp and circumstance, promising to be memorable.

The initiative, which aims to encourage and massify sports activity as a primary way to promote health and well-being, is expected to involve about 3,000 competitors, including locals and foreigners.

Registration to participate in the race starts on June 24 and ends on July 12, and for the Federated, Popular, Student, and Veteran categories it will take place at the Beira Sports Pavilion, at the Sofala Provincial Athletics Association (APAS) facilities.

For the categories of CdM Workers and Port Community, interested parties may register at Cornelder's facilities.

The competition, itself, will start and end at CFM Square and will involve athletes in several categories and, as usual, there are at stake attractive prize money, valued at over 1 million meticais.

This event, which counts on the technical advisory services of APAS, follows the regulations in force in this modality and the calculation of the results will be made by electronic timing processed by a specialized entity with extensive experience in events of this modality.

In the same place will be promoted simultaneously activities such as: Health Fair in the framework of the traditional program "Healthy Port", which includes a series of approaches in the field of health and welfare (HIV / AIDS testing, blood pressure measurement, oral health and ophthalmology consultations, blood glucose testing, cholesterol measurement, breast and cervical cancer screening, etc..) And other complementary activities that include aerobics sessions, gastronomic fair, music, and theater, where civil identification and NUIT attribution services will also be available, offered by the Civil Identification Department (DIC) and the Mozambique Tax Authority (AT), respectively.
