The President of the Republic, Daniel Chapo, is taking part in the ninth Tokyo International Conference for Africa's Development (TICAD) in Yokohama, Japan, from the 20th to the 22nd of this month.
The Head of State's participation in TICAD, which is being held under the slogan "Co-creating innovative solutions with Africa", comes in response to an invitation from the Prime Minister of Japan, Shigeru Ishiba.
On the sidelines of the summit, the President of the Republic will hold meetings with the Prime Minister of Japan, government officials, parliamentarians and heads of Japanese companies with interests in Mozambique, as well as with the Mozambican community living in Japan.
TICAD will be attended by African heads of state and government, representatives of international organizations and CEOs of Japanese and African companies.
During his trip, the Head of State will be accompanied by the First Lady of the Republic, Gueta Chapo, the Ministers of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation, Maria Manuela dos Santos Lucas; Transport and Logistics, João Jorge Matlombe; Mineral Resources and Energy, Estevão Rafael Pale; and Health, Ussene Isse, according to a press release.
