Metoro solar power plant will only be delivered next year

Central solar de Metoro só será entregue no próximo ano

Extended to January next year, the deadline for the conclusion and delivery of the construction works of the Metoro Solar Power Plant, in Ancuabe district, Cabo Delgado.

The announcement was made by Dinis Vilankulos, representative of Neoen, a partner company of Electricidade de Moçambique in the implementation of the largest solar energy project in the country, whose first stone of construction was laid in November last year by the President of the Republic, Filipe Nyusi.

Dinis Vilanculos said that the works that were initially supposed to end this August, are delayed and executed at 68%, pointing out as the main causes the current adversities that the province is experiencing.

The source was speaking in the scope of the visit that the Secretary of State in the province, António Supeia, recently made to the project.
