África do Sul: Mais de um milhão de eleitores sul africanos votam hoje e amanhã

More than a million South African voters are authorized for the special vote, which takes place today and tomorrow in South Africa.

According to Radio Mozambique in South Africa, the special ballot covers sick voters, confined voters and others who for various reasons are unable to vote on Wednesday, the day the seventh elections will be held.

The Electoral Commission will deploy brigades to nine cities where there are more than 600,000 voters who have requested a special vote. Another million or so voters will have to go to the places previously established by the electoral commission.

About a week ago, seventy-six thousand South Africans living in one hundred and two countries, including Mozambique, exercised their right to vote.

Last weekend South Africa's main political parties held their final campaign events, with calls for voters to turn out at the polling stations.

The African National Congress was at Soccer City, the Kaizer Chiefs' stadium, where it called for an absolute majority that would allow the party to continue developing the country.
