Access Bank launches international money transfer platform

Access Bank Mozambique has just launched Access Africa. This is an international transfer platform which, from the Bank's branches in Mozambique, allows the institution's customers and non-customers to send and receive money to and from all the Group's subsidiaries on the African continent.

The platform also allows funds to be sent to Europe and China, where Access Bank has strong partnerships.

This new service was created with the aim of facilitating the payment of goods and services between Access Bank subsidiaries, limiting the risk associated with cash-based cross-border transactions.

It also aims to maintain social ties, providing tourists, expats and professionals with a mechanism to connect financially with their loved ones.

Countries such as Ghana, Nigeria, The Gambia, Sierra Leone, the Democratic Republic of Congo, Rwanda, Zambia, and other nations in Africa, Europe and Asia are shipping and receiving corridors.

Alberto Júnior, Retail Manager at Access Bank Mozambique, said that this platform "was totally designed to make life easier, not only for the Bank's customers, but also for the general public, and people don't need to have an Access account to make transfers or receive dividends, as long as they comply with the requirements set out in the foreign exchange law regulations," he explained.

To access the service, customers must fill in a form provided by the bank and can send and receive up to the equivalent of 300,000 meticais.

With this innovative service, Access Bank Mozambique is keeping its vision of being the most respected African bank in the world clear, moving towards adding value to its clients and providing innovative solutions for the markets and communities in which the Bank operates.
