Absa Bank Mozambique joined Kulungwana ? Association for Cultural Development ? to start the new musical season of the Xiquitsi Project.

The kick-off of this important cultural moment marks the already usual support of Absa Bank Mozambique to national culture, focusing on the socio-cultural development of young Mozambicans. As a kick-off on April 27th to 29th, and for the implementation of the strategic plan, the Xiquitsi Project held, with the sponsorship of Absa Bank Mozambique, the 1st Classical Music Series 2023, which invited the general public to attend the concerts.

The Xiquitsi Project has existed for 10 years, and we have been with the initiative for 9 years. We believe, from the first moment, in the work of Kulungwana ? Association for Cultural Development ? and we know that our support is crucial to build a more inclusive and sustainable society. And, culture is an important key to promote education and new job opportunities. At this moment, we have managed to unite the best of both worlds by providing tools to young people and that makes us very proud?, shared Tânia Oliveira, Marketing and Corporate Relations Manager of Absa Bank Mozambique.

This is the first step in a partnership that is anticipated to be long-lasting, since the renewal of this relationship will be confirmed during the year 2023 with the signing of a Memorandum, reiterating the bank's commitment to promoting and investing in Mozambican culture, as well as the training and professional qualification of young talents, through citizenship actions that represent the bank's Africanicity.
