Absa Bank Mozambique has teamed up with Kulungwana - Association for Cultural Development - to kick off the new musical season of the Xiquitsi Project.
The start of this important cultural event marks Absa Bank Mozambique's usual support for national culture, thus focusing on the socio-cultural development of young Mozambicans. As a kick-off on April 27-29, and for the implementation of the strategic plan, the Xiquitsi Project held, with the sponsorship of Absa Bank Mozambique, the 1st Classical Music Series 2023, which invited the general public to attend the concerts.
'The Xiquitsi Project has existed for 10 years, and we've been at the initiative's side for 9 years. We have believed in the work of Kulungwana - the Association for Cultural Development - from the very beginning and we know that our support is crucial to building a more inclusive and sustainable society. And culture is an important key to promoting education and new job opportunities. At the moment, we've managed to unite the best of both worlds by providing tools for young people and that makes us very proud," shared Tânia Oliveira, Marketing and Corporate Relations Director at Absa Bank Mozambique.
This is the first step in a partnership that is expected to last, as the renewal of this relationship will be confirmed throughout 2023 with the signing of a Memorandum, reiterating the bank's commitment to promoting and investing in Mozambican culture, as well as the training and professional qualification of young talent, through citizenship actions that represent the bank's Africanicity.
