Zambézia: Professores da escola secundária Samora Machel suspendem a greve por 15 dias

Teachers at the Samora Machel secondary school in Mocuba, Zambezia province, which had its doors closed for two weeks in order to demand the payment of overtime wages from past years, resumed classes this Friday (20).

According to a Txopela newspaperAfter a lot of "noise", this resulted in the director of the district services for education, youth and technology of that geographical district, Faria Manuel, issuing the usual statement "we are working", announcing the suspension of the strike for 15 days.

"The teachers unanimously decided to temporarily suspend the strike for a period of fifteen days, and should resume classes from June 20, which is this Friday, pending a satisfactory response," the statement said.

In the same document, the teachers guarantee that they will resume the strike if their demands are not met within the stipulated period. "Once the deadline has passed and the required overtime has not been paid, the teachers will go back on strike, in the form of a walkout," it reads.
