Zambézia: Road link between Maganja da Costa and Namacurra will be re-established by Sunday

The road connection between the districts of Maganja da Costa and Namacurra, in Zambézia, will be re-established by tomorrow, Sunday, with the repair of the damage caused by tropical storm Ana, on the bridge over the Licungo river.

The guarantee was given this Thursday, in Zambezia, by the Minister of Public Works, Housing and Water Resources, João Machatine.

"We've been looking at the length of the cut, about 12 to 15 meters, we have a 21 meter movable bridge that fits very well here, this bridge will be launched. This will allow for conditioning, obviously, of vehicles, it will allow us to assist the population that is in Maganja and Mocubela, so on and so forth," he said.

The span of the bridge over the Revubuè river, in Tete, will also be overcome with a metallic structure, as an emergency solution.

For the case of the bridge over the Revubuè river, before the steel structure, an intermediate pillar will have to be built in the 120-meter span that collapsed.
