The road link between the commercial and administrative areas of the town of Alto Molócuè, in the north of Zambézia province, has been interrupted due to the overflow of the Molócuè river.
According to the mayor of Alto Molócuè, Otílio Eduardo, this is the result of the heavy rain that has been falling in the region since Sunday, which has submerged the bridge over the Molócuè river, which provides a road link between the two areas of the municipality.
Quoted by Rádio Moçambique, Otílio Eduardo, said that several residents were stranded on both banks.
