Thirty-one civil servants were expelled and dismissed from the state apparatus in Zambezia province in the first six months of the year, as a result of the same number of cases brought against them. 

The information was given this Monday by the Secretary of State in Zambezia, Cristina Mafumo, during the ceremony to distinguish 54 civil servants who have distinguished themselves the most over the past year.

The source, who was speaking at the ceremony to celebrate Civil Service Day, called on civil servants to comply with the rules and fight corruption, according to Rádio Moçambique.
