The Zambezia Provincial Prosecutor's Office says that there are three defendants in the criminal case over the controversial boat acquired by the Zambezia Directorate of Transport and Communications.

The deal allegedly involves the company owned by the daughter of the provincial governor, Pio Matos, and cost the state coffers around ten million Meticais.

According to the publication in "O País", the case of the boat came about through a direct award from the Provincial Directorate of Transport to the company "ok corporation", which is currently being investigated by the Zambézia Provincial Prosecutor's Office.

The case bears the number 114/05/2024, according to the spokesperson for the Zambezia Provincial Prosecutor's Office, Cristina Chihale, quoted by the newspaper.

According to the source cited, there are no new defendants in the case, apart from three people who have already been made defendants in the case that has already been set up, among whom are heads of management.

Information provided by the Zambezia Provincial Prosecutor's Office indicates that the vessel that was supposed to be going to the Inhassunge district, in the purchase contract, is actually going to the Chinde district.
