A brigade worker involved in voter registration was murdered in the early hours of this morning in the district of Gilé, in the north of Zambézia province.
A newspaper publication NewsMiguel Caetano, the head of Public Relations at the Provincial Command of the Police of the Republic of Mozambique (PRM) in Zambézia, confirmed the stabbing death of the brigadier a few moments ago and said that the perpetrator is at large.
Meanwhile, three individuals are being held in the cells of the police corporation's district command in Quelimane on charges of stealing 13 air conditioners from two health centers and homes.
According to the police spokesman in Zambézia, Sidner Londzo, eight devices were stolen from the Namuinho and Maquival Health Centers. According to Londzo, the remaining five devices were stolen from homes in the city of Quelimane.
