The independent presidential candidate, Venâncio Mondlane, said today that he will take office as the fifth (5th) elected President of the Republic of Mozambique on January 15, 2025.
In a live broadcast on Facebook, Mondlane said that the whole country would suspend activities to witness his consecration and inauguration.
"Set this date and let's all start preparing for it, probably on a Wednesday. Make a note of it," he appealed, stressing that he was "elected by the people".
Mondlane has successively called for a boycott of the Quadra Festiva festivities, and today he announced that the day of the festivities will be January 15.
"We won't have Christmas or the end of the year. Where we'll have our real party will be on January 15, 2025," he said.
