Venâncio Mondlane pede “blackout”, entoação do Hino Nacional durante 25 minutos, panelaços e vigilia

This afternoon, the independent presidential candidate, Venâncio Mondlane, announced the "modus operandi" for closing the second stage of the fourth phase of demonstrations against electoral fraud.

According to Mondlane, tomorrow, the last day of the stage, will be a "busy" Friday.

The idea is, from 12 noon until 12.15pm, to stop the cars and honk. From then on, the cars will continue marching and honking. At 1 p.m. all machinery, vehicles, generators and other equipment should be turned off and the National Anthem should be sung in the streets "as many times as necessary" for 25 minutes.

He explained that the 25 minutes are a tribute to Elvino Dias and Paulo Guambe, who were murdered with 25 bullets at point-blank range on the night of October 18 in the capital Maputo.

Later on, between 9pm and 10pm, do "what is already customary" and bang pots, whistle, shout, blow vuvuzelas, among others...

And finally, from 11 p.m. to 2 a.m., hold candlelight vigils at home or in the streets.

He called on people not to take to the streets to march because the demonstrations should be peaceful.
