Venâncio Mondlane criticizes PGR and says notification has no legal basis

Venâncio Mondlane critica PGR e diz que a notificação não tem base legal

Presidential candidate Venâncio Mondlane, supported by the PODEMOS party, criticized the Attorney General's Office (PGR) for issuing subpoenas that he considers "serious" and without legal basis.

According to Venâncio Mondlane, who was speaking in a live stream held on Tuesday evening, he questions the PGR's lack of clarity about the articles of the Constitution or electoral law that have been violated.

Quoted by Savannah newspaperMondlane argues that the PGR is an institution that functions as an "intimidating propaganda unit" at the service of the Frelimo party.

Disagreeing with the official results released by the electoral management bodies, which give an advantage to Frelimo's presidential candidate, Daniel Chapo, Mondlane called them "false" and announced a national strike for next Monday, calling on the population to paralyze all public and private activities in protest.
