Venâncio Mondlane accuses Renamo of "deceiving" the people by claiming victory in the October elections

Venâncio Mondlane acusa a Renamo de “enganar” o povo ao reclamar vitória nas eleições de Outubro

PODEMOS presidential candidate Venâncio Mondlane accused Renamo of lying to the Mozambican people by claiming to have won the October 9 elections..

"Renamo lied to the people. It didn't win the elections," said Mondlane, suggesting the resignation of Renamo party spokesman Arnaldo Chalaua.

More live on his Facebook account, Venâncio Mondlane stressed that "the Mozambican people know that it is not Renamo that deserves first place in last October's elections".

A few days ago, Renamo claimed that the results published by the National Electoral Commission (CNE) were a "farce", revealing that the party had carried out a parallel count, the results of which confirmed the victory of the partridge.

Political parties must stand with the people

Venâncio Mondlane appealed to the political parties to join the demonstrations he had called, saying that "this fight is no longer Venâncio Mondlane's, it is the Mozambican people's".

"Serve the people. It's time for the political parties to unite for the same cause. Join this struggle of the Mozambican people," he said, stressing that it was time for all the political parties to speak with one voice.

The fight must continue

According to Mondlane, the fight to restore electoral truth will continue and he believes that "this is not an act of vandalism, but a citizen's cause".

"The people want an answer. The answer cannot be like saying that these are vandals. The answer can't be like saying that they are practicing vandalism," he said, warning that if the regime intends to maintain the fraudulent election results, it will automatically move on to the turbo V8 phase and that its measures should be announced next Monday.

Mondlane went on to say that the demonstrations are having an effect, although there are infiltrators who are taking advantage of the movement to attack vehicles and extort people.

Venâncio Mondlane also called on the Mozambican business community to make an effort to resolve the electoral truth. "Only with electoral truth will the business sector in Mozambique be able to grow."
