Last minute: Parliament postpones TSU debate to Tuesday

The debate on the proposed revision of the TSU law, initially scheduled for Monday afternoon, has been postponed.

The news was announced by the President of the Assembly of the Republic, Esperança Bias, at the start of the last plenary session of the VII Ordinary Session of Parliament, in its IX Legislature, which is taking place this Monday.

According to Esperança Bias, until 2pm on Monday, the Committees on Public Administration and Local Government; Constitutional Affairs, Human Rights and Legality; Planning and Budget; and Social Affairs, Gender, Technology and Social Communication were still producing their respective opinions.

It should be noted that on Monday morning, the four Committees heard, behind closed doors, from the Minister of Economy and Finance, Max Tonela, about the new proposal to revise the TSU, which places MPs at a lower level than members of the Council of Ministers. (Letter)
