Last minute: TSU inconsistency leads to Council of Ministers' Session

Última hora: Incongruências na TSU leva a Sessão de Conselho de Ministros

The government is meeting in the Council of Ministers to discuss the Single Wage Table (TSU). It seems that on the table will be proposals to revert back to the previous Old Wage Scale (TSA) or even revise the TSU in line with the Multisectoral Commission's measures.

According to information we have had access to, the International Monetary Fund (IMF) is pushing for a return to the TSA, which means reverting to the zero system, i.e. no increase.

In any case, there is a great deal of expectation among state employees about the decision that the executive might take.

It should be noted that a few weeks ago the government went public with the lack of money to implement the TSU, even recommending a reduction in the salaries of senior executives.
