The European Union (EU) will provide around 400 million meticais for the rehabilitation of five provincial Culture Houses in the country, as part of the Cultivar-te project.
These are the houses of culture in Sofala, Manica, Tete, Zambézia and Maputo city.
The Minister of Culture and Tourism was quoted by Rádio Moçambique as saying that once the first phase of the Cultivar-te project is finished, other provincial cultural houses will be restored.
The idea, according to Eldevina Materula, who was speaking in the city of Beira, is to improve working conditions for artists and other art makers.
