Twitter leader Elon Musk has confirmed via his own page on the social network that he intends to increase the number of characters allowed per post from 280 to 4,000.
Asked by one of his followers about this rumor and whether the company did indeed intend to increase the character limit, Musk replied simply "yes". The entrepreneur did not provide any details about this change or when it should be launched.
It's worth remembering that this won't be the first change to Twitter's character limit. According to Notícias ao Minuto, the first was in 2017, when the social network decided to remove the 140-character limit and increase it to 280.
