Twitter "more receptive" to Elon Musk's acquisition plan

Twitter is "more receptive to a deal" with Tesla CEO Elon Musk, who has presented a $43 billion acquisition plan, in what is a sign of thawing relations between the two sides.

The company and the shareholder met on Sunday to discuss the agreement, according to the "Wall Street Journal" quoted by the newspaper Económico.

These moves come after, on April 15, Twitter announced a measure with which it intends to delay or even prevent the purchase of the company by Tesla's CEO. The measure, known in the business world as the "poison pill," is intended to make it more difficult for Musk, who already owns 9% of Twitter's shares, to buy more than 15% of the stock.

Three days later, the millionaire wrote a tweet in which he admitted that if he goes ahead with the purchase of the social networking giant he will not pay salaries to any member of the board of directors.
