Drug Trafficking: HR will debate MP's involvement

The Parliamentary Commission of Inquiry to investigate the alleged involvement of a member of parliament in drug trafficking will present its findings at the seventh plenary session of the Assembly of the Republic.

The start of this session is scheduled for the 22nd of this month, as Alberto Mutukutuku, spokesperson for the parliament's Standing Committee, announced at a press conference on Wednesday.

The Assembly of the Republic decided to set up a parliamentary commission of inquiry after MP Venâncio Mondlane, from RENAMO, the main opposition party, denounced the alleged involvement of a FRELIMO MP (whose name has never been revealed) with a drug trafficking network in Zambézia province, central Mozambique.
