Five people died and one was injured after being shot by bullets allegedly fired by agents of the Rápida, in the Bobole district of Marracuene.

The case took place during riots against the high prices of construction cement and food products, which led to the blocking of National Road number 1 on Tuesday night.

One of the residents of Marracuene told Tv Miramar that a request for a price reduction was made last week, but so far there has been no response.

"As of today, we're going to block the road, until that president kills and prays and approaches us here in Bobole. Yesterday, those from the UIR had the nerve to kill people here in Bobole," said the source.

The riots continued until Wednesday morning.
