Terroristas atacam posto administrativo de Muaguide em Meluco e saqueiam bens

A group of terrorists invaded the headquarters of the Muaguide administrative post, in the district of Meluco, central Cabo Delgado, at around 6pm on Saturday (07), where they looted food and destroyed some public infrastructure.

According to the portal IkweliThe local police station was one of the infrastructures attacked, after the officers left the scene due to intensified firing by the terrorists.

During the terrorist action, two motorcycles were burned by the terrorists, who allegedly had no intention of killing the residents, but of forcing the population to flee in order to get hold of foodstuffs.

According to the same publication, some families abandoned the area and took refuge in neighboring villages such as Unguia, 19 de Outubro and Mitambo. In these places, the population has also been forced to abandon their homes and seek hiding places.

Almost a month ago, terrorists attacked the villages of Minhanha and Chachaxa, where, as well as looting people's property, they killed a man.

The residents of these villages were forced to flee, and some of them have still not returned, believing that the terrorists have established new bases in the interior, in an area that borders the Macomia district.
