The risks of new terrorist attacks in the districts of Macomia and Quissanga, in Cabo Delgado province, are now low, a security study commissioned by the United Nations has concluded.
In this sense, says Rádio Moçambique, those districts are in a position to benefit from humanitarian assistance programmes, as part of the immediate stabilization and recovery from the crisis in the province.
The head of office and coordination office for humanitarian affairs at OCHA said that a security study will also be carried out in the Mbau region, in the district of Mocímboa da Praia.
"We are monitoring the situation together with the local authorities so that this activity can be concluded as soon as possible," he said.
