On Monday, a group of women from different parts of the world marched to the Constitutional Council (CC) to protest against human rights violations.
Wielding signs bearing various slogans, the women gathered at the CC demanding electoral justice and an end to murders.
"Every day we see our children being murdered. What amazes us is that we don't know what is happening to our government. We voted and we want justice to be done," a protester told the cameras of TV Sucesso.
Outraged, the demonstrators say they are tired and demand respect for human life. "We are not objects. If we've come here to complain, it's because we know that (they) are in charge, they're here and they can hear us," said another protester.
Mozambique has been experiencing social unrest since the CNE announced the official results declaring Daniel Chapo, of the Frelimo party, the winner of the presidential election.
The Constitutional Council could announce the final results by December 15th.
