Mozambican tennis player Edilson Rosa made history this Thursday by qualifying for the final of the World Junior Tennis Circuit, beating an Indian opponent 2-1.
According to Desafio newspaper, in the first set the 16-year-old lost 4-6, reflecting a challenging start. However, showing resilience, Edilson recovered in the second set, dominating with a score of 6-1.
In the third and decisive set, Edilson Rosa maintained his momentum and overcame his Indian opponent to win the match 6-4.
The Mozambican tennis player's outstanding performance on the court at Jardim Tunduro, in Maputo, marked a historic moment for the country, which has reached the final stage of the World Tour for the first time.
