Mozambican international Telinho was awarded this Tuesday as the best player in Mozambique-2023, receiving a Nissan Almera zero-kilometer car.

The Ferroviário de Nampula player beat off competition from Dayo of União Desportiva do Songo (top scorer in Moçambola with 12 goals), Parkim (Associação Desportiva de Vilankulo), Ling (Ferroviário da Beira champion) and Henriques (AD Vilankulo).

Votes from fans, coaches, the national team and journalists from Desafio newspaper, Televisão de Moçambique and RM Desporto were key to Telinho winning the award for the second time (he won in 2018).

According to the newspaper Desafio, the striker stood out as the best player in the second month of Moçambola. Throughout the competition Telinho scored a total of nine goals, helping his team Ferroviário de Nampula to third place in the national championship.

The Nissan Almera 0 km car is being offered by Motorcare in collaboration with Sociedade do Notícias, SA and the Mozambican Football League, with Fidelidade Ímpar being the official insurer for a period of one year.
