The construction company Teixeira Duarte totaled 3.6 million euros of profit in the first half, compared with a loss of approximately 18.6 million euros in the same period last year, the market was informed today.

According to information submitted to the Securities and Exchange Commission (CMVM), in this period, the company's earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation, and amortization (EBITDA) advanced 68.31TP2Q to 43 million euros.

Between January and June, operating income grew by 38.31TP2Q to €429.4 million.

Operating expenses reached 386.3 million euros, an increase of 35.61TP2Q.

In the first half of the year, the company's financial results were negative 7.6 million euros, while in the same period last year they had been negative 18.3 million euros.

Sales and services rendered, in turn, rose 48.31TP2Q to €383.4 million.

"In Portugal there was an increase of 49.6% when compared to the same period last year. It should be noted that this indicator does not express the good performance of the real estate sector of the group in this period to which contributed income that is not relevant in sales and services rendered", detailed.

Net financial debt stood at 733.5 million euros on June 30, 2022, up 15.09 million euros from the end of last year.
