TAP regrets the lack of agreement with the pilots and says it is committed to finding solutions to the conflict. This is what a short statement from the company sent to Negócios on Tuesday, the day on which a demonstration is scheduled, called by the pilots' union.
"TAP regrets that it has not yet reached an agreement with its pilots, who are essential to the company, and remains committed to finding solutions that will ensure the sustainability of the company and all its workers," reads the TAP statement quoted by the newspaper Negócios.
The management of the Civil Aviation Pilots Union (SPAC) and the union committee have called for a demonstration on Tuesday morning, aimed at all TAP pilots who are off duty.
The protest takes place in front of the TTA - Areeiro Crew Terminal, with the end foreseen near the TAP Campus.
"Given the various refusals of the board of directors of TAP Air Portugal to hold meetings of workers, the management of SPAC and the union commission call for the massive participation of pilots in this initiative, which aims to demonstrate their dissatisfaction with the abuses, injustices and the way that management and the tutelage have managed the company and the labor relations with the pilots," said the union last Friday.
