The national women's senior soccer team is the new leader of Group B in the COSAFA Cup, after beating their counterparts from the Comoros 3-1 this Sunday in the second round of the competition taking place in neighboring South Africa.

Scoring for Mozambique were Deolinda Gove on 18' and 51' (p) and Emília Cazembe (85'). Said Ali (5') scored the only goal for the Comoros.

In another match in the same group, according to Desafio newspaper, champions Zambia beat Angola 3-1.
With this result, the national team occupies first place in Group B with four points, the same as Zambia.

Angola remains in third place, while Comoros remains in last place with no points.

Next Tuesday, Mozambique face their Angolan counterparts and Zambia take on the Comoros.
