SpaceX CEO Elon Musk recently sent an email to the company's workers warning that it may file for bankruptcy. Musk requested that they continue to perform their jobs including on weekends.
Musk's message may not have been very well received, since he sent it last weekend when Thanksgiving was being celebrated in the United States of America.
Musk feels that the delay in production of the Raptor engine for the Starship rocket could impact the future of SpaceX in a very negative way.
"Unfortunately, the Raptor engine production crisis is much worse than it seemed a few weeks ago," it reads.
According to SpaceX's CEO, there are other conditions, which if met would certainly drive the company into bankruptcy.
"If a global recession blocked the availability of capital while SpaceX is losing billions on Starlink and Starship, then bankruptcy, while unlikely, is not impossible," he said.
If a severe global recession were to dry up capital availability / liquidity while SpaceX was losing billions on Starlink & Starship, then bankruptcy, while still unlikely, is not impossible.
GM & Chrysler went BK last recession.
