Sofala, Muanza district. Two people died and another three are missing after a passenger boat sank last Sunday.
The maritime accident was allegedly caused by overloading and overcrowding of the vessel, which was carrying twelve passengers at the time, according to Rádio Moçambique.
The spokesman for the PRM in Sofala, Marito Peralto, said that ten people had already been rescued.
The source also said that searches were currently underway to locate the three missing people.
