A group of individuals posing as members of PODEMOS are creating disturbances in Caia, Sofala province, allegedly in protest against the election results.
The complaint was made by the PODEMOS district political delegate in Caia, Henriques Sande, quoted by Rádio Moçambique.
The political delegate says that the party is distancing itself from what it calls criminal acts and calls for the perpetrators to be found and held accountable.
"Even if there was an intention to demonstrate, this plan would never include blocking railway lines, roads or vandalizing," said the delegate.
Last Sunday night, a group of young people placed logs and burned tires on the railway line at two different points to prevent trains from running.
