Snoop Dogg admits interest in buying Scottish soccer club

Snoop Dogg admite interesse em comprar clube de futebol escocês

American rapper Snoop “Calvin Broadus” Dogg this week expressed his interest in acquiring a stake in the structure of The Celtic Football Club in Scotland.

The rapper's idea is to siphon off a good investment in the club that will help stem the financial crisis and buy new players.

The hip-hop singer has already expressed his desire to the club's board, stating his wish to bring Greek-Australian coach Angelos Postecoglou back to the Glasgow giants following the resignation of Brendan Rodgers.

“Investing in Celtic is something I've mentioned in the past and, if the opportunity was right, I'd take it. Celtic is a giant club and the fans want to see the best players playing in this great stadium. All the owners have to do is ask. I think they have to bring back Ange [Postecoglou], the club will have to do what it has to do, but the fans would love to have him back,” he said in an interview, quoted by the Daily Record.

In June of this year, Snoop Dogg became a co-owner and investor in Swansea City, after acquiring a minority stake in the Championship club.

Snoop Dogg's involvement is believed to have occurred due to a mutual connection between him, Brett Cravatt and Jason Cohen - the American businessmen who led the entry of Luka Modrić to the club's group of shareholders.
