Seventy injured on match day between Angola and Argentina

Setenta feridos no dia de jogo entre Angola e Argentina

The Angolan Institute of Medical Emergencies recorded at least 70 injuries on Friday in the city of Luanda during the match between Angola (0) and Argentina (2).

There were 23 cases of trauma suffered by fans who were trampled or fell due to the heavy flooding near the entrances to the venue.

Forty-seven spectators required medical assistance after showing symptoms such as headaches and hypertension, clear manifestations of the heat, overcrowding and jitters around the stadium.

A calamitous scenario aggravated by the unbridled attempt by groups of fans to force their way into a 50,000-seat venue, but which the Angolan Football Federation decided not to fill to capacity, putting 48,000 tickets on sale. (Source: zero zero)
