A road accident involving several vehicles interrupted traffic on Avenida Vladimir Lénine, in front of the Millenium Park building and the Supreme Court, a few meters from the Attorney General's Office in Maputo city.

In all, at least seven vehicles were involved in the accident, including light and heavy vehicles, according to the information we had access to.

The accident, involving a collision between vehicles, took place this morning. We have not yet been able to obtain information about the circumstances that led to the chain reaction. It is not known whether the accident resulted in any casualties, injuries or deaths.

The section where the accident occurred is the steepest descent on the avenue, between Av. Patrice Lumumba, to the north, and Zedequias Manganhelas, to the south.
