The United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF) believes that the new US administration of President Donald Trump will back down from its decision to freeze funding to several countries around the world, including Mozambique.
Mary Louse's, UNICEF's representative in the country, is hopeful about a possible revocation of the 90-day suspension of funding from the US Agency for International Development (USAID).
According to NewsShe was speaking a few days ago after a meeting with the Governor of Zambézia, Pio Matos.
He hopes that UNICEF will contribute to sanitation and access to drinking water.
