Secretary of State for Youth and Employment, Oswaldo Petersburg, presided over on Monday, in Maputo City at the Montebelo Indy Maputo Congress Hotel, the public presentation of the candidates selected for the Agora Emprega Business Plan Training.
In a ceremony that included more than 350 candidates selected for the Training stage of transforming ideas into business, candidates from Maputo City and Maputo Province were selected for the pilot phase, and it is expected that by next November, the program will be implemented on a national scale.
Agora Emprega is one of the components of the Emprega program with the objective of promoting employment in Mozambique, aimed at young people who have a business idea or a project in a startup, micro, small or medium existing company, and who need support and guidance to make it a reality.
This is a window to help micro, small, and medium enterprises to grow and create employment opportunities for young Mozambicans, and to help young entrepreneurs with a business idea to create a sustainable business.
In the same ceremony, the selection process and criteria for the selected candidates were presented, as well as the symbolic delivery of the Scholarship Certificates.
During his speech, Oswaldo Petersburg, encouraged the young people apprised citing the efforts and commitment of the Government of Mozambique through the Secretariat of State for Youth and Employment to create employment opportunities for young Mozambicans
"That is the goal of the Emprega Program, to get young people to start their own companies and employ other young people," said the governor.
Emprega, is a Mozambican Government program implemented by the Secretariat of State for Youth and Employment (SEJE) through the National Youth Institute.
