Mozambican international Geny Catamo's second goal against Benfica was chosen by Sporting and the fans as the best moment of the 2023 2024 season.

According to A Bola, the choice was made via social media, after the club asked what his favorite moment of last season had been.

Catamo's second goal, scored in the 90th minute at the José Alvalade Stadium, secured the three points for Rúben Amorim's men when the score was 1-1.

The win was seen as extremely important for the lions to gain an advantage in the league table and further distance themselves from the eagles, achieving their second championship in four years.
