In addition, the award also highlighted the Bank's exceptional leadership in times of crisis, namely for the Bank's judicious management practices and immediate response in the context of the health and economic crisis caused by the Covid-19 pandemic," reads the statement.

According to the bank's statement, the Euromoney jury "also recognized the bank's performance in terms of data protection policies and the security of its clients' banking operations, as well as the strategic social responsibility actions undertaken with a view to promoting the well-being and improving the living conditions of the population, especially in the context of the natural disasters and armed conflict that ravaged the central and northern parts of the country.

For Millennium bim's CEO, José Reino da Costa, "the award reflects the contribution of all, especially the bank's employees who, through their creativity, performance and professionalism built up over these more than two decades, guarantee the offer of a range of diversified and modern products and services, which have given the bank the award of the most awarded institution in the country".
