The agriculture sector in Inhambane province is developing strategies to revitalize the production of coconut palms.

The intensive production of seedlings and their distribution counts among the priority actions.

The Head of the Agrarian Extension Department, in the Provincial Direction of Agriculture and Fisheries, in Inhambane, said that it is also in projection the enlargement of the areas where the coconut culture should be introduced.

Crimildo Joaquim referred to the districts of Vilankulo, Inhassoro and Govuro, where the agro-ecological potential should be taken advantage of for the implantation of extensive palm areas.
