The health authorities are mobilizing material and financial resources to vaccinate children and adolescents against polio, as part of efforts to eradicate infantile paralysis in the country.

This was made known by the director of the Expanded Vaccination Program (PAV) at the Ministry of Health (MISAU), Leonildo Nhampossa, adding that the initiative will take place from 15 to 18 June, according to Notícias online.

Speaking a few days ago at an advocacy meeting on the National Polio Vaccination Campaign, the source explained that the decision was the result of the notification of new cases of the disease, particularly in the northern region, which reinforces the need to strengthen the immunity of children in these areas.
