SADC to develop regional early warning plan

Southern African Development Community (SADC) countries will develop a regional early warning plan based on the impact of early action to build resilience to natural disasters.

To this end, experts from the World Meteorological Organization; SADC, the African Union Commission, and the government of Mozambique are meeting in Maputo to reflect on the subject.

The Minister of Transport and Communications, Mateus Magala, said that the SADC region should come out of this meeting, more robust in actions to combat natural disasters. (RM)
