The Russian military has announced that it will storm the Ukrainian capital, Kiev, where the targets will be state facilities such as the Security Agency and the 72nd Main Center for Intelligence and Psychological Operations.

The Russian government spokesman in Kiev has warned civilians still in and around the city to withdraw, and a military column of more than 40 miles (64 km) is already on its way into the city. By Tuesday the heavy artillery convoy was less than 25 km from Kiev, and as it approaches Kiev it is leaving a trail of destruction.

After the warning, however, there was an attack on a Television tower in Kiev. The information was confirmed, this Tuesday, by the advisor to the Ukrainian Interior Ministry, Anton Herashchenko.

Local television channel 1+1 said it will work to restore any lost signal.

The Russian military still attacked other cities such as Kharkiv, Ukraine's second largest, and Mariupol, a port city in the south.
