More than 5 thousand customers of the water network in the neighborhoods of Trevo and Matola A, have been without access to water since Sunday afternoon. This is due to to the rupture of its transportation pipeline in Matola, Trevo neighborhood.

According to the statement released this Sunday, the incident occurred in the main transportation pipeline between the Umbeluzi Treatment Plant and the Chamanculo distribution center.

It was possible to ascertain the existence of damage to infrastructure. This damage occurred in the vicinity of the pipeline that carries the water, with significant losses of water. 

Maputo City, Matola and Vila de Boane, except for the above mentioned neighborhoods, will not be affected because they are assured by an alternative pipeline.
